Photo of the Week

Lorne Monroe - FS Flip

I not too sure why I chose this photo. It's moderately old, it's park, and if you see the actual version of it, there is a little bit of motion in it. Anyways, I just saw this photo in my archived stuff and it just stood out of all my other ones. Lorne is also one of those guys who just says "I wanna do this" and he will go do it. No matter what the obstacle is, Lorne is down to skate it.

Slow Week

It's been a fairly slow week, I haven't done that much. I work basically 9-5, Monday to Friday. By the time I get home, I'm exhausted and don't feel like doing much. I am still waiting on the word whether I will require surgery on my right knee is the side ligaments are torn enough. Lets see, it's Friday, I'm assuming a few went out partying, because I had another close call tonight in my car. The other driver slid through an intersection on some ice as I was going through it, and luckily I stopped soon enough to see the other driver go right through the intersection. He was bookin' it too, so he had no chance of stopping. Also, I know it's friday, and I was suppose to Put the photo of the Week up, I know, don't email me about it. It will be up tomorrow in the evening hours. Anyways, since I didn't post anything all week, I felt it should be time for an update, normally I would put an update every third day or so.

More colleges

Over the weekend, I went to look at 1 more school for photography, and the school was Sheridan College in Oakville. It seemed nice, but it also seemed like not my type of school. I don't know, it was just one of those things where you felt like you just didn't like it. So, so far my choice of school is Humber, but I am still going to check out Fanshawe to see if they are any good. Other then that, I have a new job at Minacs...its pretty cool, I answer emails all day, but its good pay. It's been a slow week so far with the weather.

Photo of the Week

Nathan Jolley - Fakie Cabs

This week I chose a photo from earlier in the summer. This is my buddy Nate Fakie Cabing the 8 set at our local park. I just liked it because it was the first time I shot with my Canon ST-E2 Transmitter, and my 2 Canon 430ex flashes. I leanred a lot that day

Injury Update

Hey everyone, I just want to say thanks to all the people who gave me any "Get Well Messages". My knee is feeling much better, but I think it may be a month or so before I'll be able to step on a board again. I went to the doctor's the other day for a check-up, ad what his diagnosis was, that it MIGHT be a sprain/rip in my side ligaments of my knee. I have another appointment 2 weeks from now to get it looked at into further depth. That appointment will determine if I will need to get surgery on my knee or not if it is torn, and if it is severe enough. Lately though I am off my crutches, I no longer need the brace, and the pressure when walking has gone down in great amounts. Walking up stairs is still slightly painful, but it is bearable. Sleeping is somewhat uncomfortable, but luckily I have my T3's to help me sleep. So other then that, I hope to be on my board ASAP, because I really need footage for the upcoming video.

Driver's Seat

Today was ok, work, like usual, the good ol' life of a 9-5er....but I'm getting off point. Anyways, after work, went home for a bit, chilled, and then went out for somewhat of a mission to get some photos and possibly some footage. Anyways, we started off at Lococo's, and found out that the generator was out of gas, and that none of us had any money, so that was a buzzkill for sure. So we drove around for a bit thinkin of spots, and came across a blue bar thing, no lights again. Ginger Ollied it and trev front 180d it. My photos were shit becuz i couldnt focus it for my life. So I got one good shot out of it, actually its not even good, but its acceptable I guess you could say. Ginger's ollie. That's it. A fucking Ollie. So we ended up driving around some more with good intentions, went to planet hollywood, got kicked out (Just like the real Hollywood) and then ended up at our buddies studio and watched some of the clips for "Butter on my Bread" they are ok...Good quality though, just park footage, haha. Yea, that topped off the night.

Cold Pictures

just chilled for most of the day. Then around the dinner hour, went out, shot some photos with Dylan at the Stanley Ave. Gap....It was freezing, my fingers were nunb, I couldn't even feel the shutter button. Anyways, it turned out to be an ok shoot. Dylan landed a warm-up ollie and a front 180. Dylan's heelflips are dialed, but tonite from the cold it wasn't happening. A few close attempts, but no cigar, maybe next time Dylan.
